Faculty Health and Safety Management Groups (HSMGs)

Each Academic Faculty within Queen Mary has a health and safety management group which reports to its Executive and advises the Executive Dean on the discharge of their health and safety responsibilities.

All HSMGs report into HSAG.

Each Faculty HSMG receives School or Institute level safety groups and assists individual Heads and Directors in the management of health and safety for their areas and activities.

In addition, Professional Services Directorates have safety groups which have a reporting line into HSAG.

Specialist / Statutory Topic Groups

These groups cover specific topics not covered in the Faculty HSMGs and report into HSAG.

Queen Mary Management Boards and Executives

Every management group/board at Queen Mary (Faculty, School or Directorate level or Strategic Theme) should include health and safety as a standing item at each of its meeting agendas.

Meetings

HSAG meetings are conducted three times per year.

Meeting minutes can be requested by emailing Emily Coughlin
